The Stolen Cello

Redi Hasa releases his first solo album, The Stolen Cello, in 2020, after working for many years as part of Ludovico Einaudi's band and playing in the ambitious project Seven Days Walking(2019).

Redi has performed alongside Einaudi and violinist Federico Mecozzi in the most prestigious theatres and audiences around the world. The Albanian cellist and composer also collaborated with internationally recognised artists, producers and composers such as Mercan Dade, Alva Noto, Akin Sevgör and Ludovico Einaudi himself on a selection of special tracks to complement the album release. In his new album, Redi Hasa highlights the ‘vocal’ nature of the cello, an instrument that perhaps comes closest to the human voice, with a deeply personal story of hope and survival.
