Redi Hasa
Born into a musical family, Albanian cellist and composer Redi Hasa began to study the cello at the age of seven at the “Virtuosi Of Tirana” Music School. He graduated the Tirana Academy of Fine Arts 1998, granting a scholarship for the “Tito Schipa” Conservatory of Music in Lecce, Italy, where he got a further degree in 2007.

Redi’s outstanding talent soon contributed to the so-called Reinassance of the traditional music in South Italy working with the most renowned Taranta musicians. He also collaborated with King Naat Veliov’s Kocani Orkestar, Ambrogio Sparanga, Boban Markovic, Bobby McFerrin, Paolo Fresu, among others… With organetto player Claudio Prima, he established and toured the projects “Adria” and “Bandadriatica” in many music festivals in Europe.

In 2008, he joined the “Notte Della Taranta Orchestra”, consecutively directed by: Mauro Pagani, Ludovico Einaudi, Goran Bregovic and Giovanni Sollima. In 2010, he started a very successful duo with singer Maria Mazzotta, recording two albums and appearing in many international festivals. Since 2012, Redi is member of the Ludovico Einaudi band, featured in his album “In A Time Lapse” and in his worldwide tours.
Redi Hasa released his first solo album, The Stolen Cello, on September 4th 2020. In the record, he gets face to face with the instrument and pulls out stories that keep on shielding like Crown Jewels.
On November 11th 2022, he released My Nirvana. An album that expresses his travel towards the “grunge heart” of his way to play music. Nine tracks he grew up with, revisited with his cello.
